Scott's
Story
My name is Scott Takeda, and
I'm a writer/producer/director/actor from Denver, Colorado, USA. I'm a
third-generation Japanese-American born on the first day of spring (March
21st, 1967) in Fort Collins, CO. My parents Bob and Tomiko are also Colorado
natives, born in farm communities east of Denver and Pueblo. I have a
younger brother named David.
I list among my life accomplishments:
bungee jumping, skydiving, and saving a frantic family from a rattlesnake.
The best job I've ever had was delivering newspapers as a kid. I held
onto the job for six years and was sadly forced to quit when I moved away
for college.
My favorite color is purple, but it used to be green. My favorite movie
is "When Harry Met Sally." I have four names. My middle names
are Robert (after my Dad) and Koji (which means "scholar" in
Japanese). My initials SRKT form the word "sirkit" which is
the basis for my company Short Sirkit Creative and this web site domain.
In my free time, I help run
a local non-profit arts organization, I play the trumpet, and I always
stop to smell the roses.
